Second Half Ministry

What We Believe

What We Believe.

1. God

We believe in the one true God, the Creator and Ruler of all things, who is infinitely perfect in wisdom, holiness and love, and who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 15:11, II Samuel 7-22, I Chronicles 17:20, Isaiah 40:28; Matthew 3:16-17, 28: 18-19, Ephesians 2:18, I Timothy 1:17, 2-5, Isaiah 63)

2. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, true God and true man, in whom deity and humanity are perfectly expressed and inseparably united: We believe He is the eternal Word made flesh, the sinless Lamb of God, the only Mediator between God and man, the King of kings, and Lord of lords. (John 1:1-14; Luke 1:26-38; Galatians 4:4, 1 Timothy 2:5; 3:16; Philippians 2:5-11).

3. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, Giver of life, one in being with the Father and Son, Who abides with the Church and lives in every true believer. We believe in the present day ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of truth, holiness, and power who convicts of sin, instructs, indwells, encourages, and empowers the believer for service, and glorifies the Lord Jesus. (John 16:7-14; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4, 38-39; Romans 8:26-27; i Corinthians 12:7-11).

4. The Bible

We Believe that the Bible is eternal, infallible word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it is the ultimate rule of faith and practice for the Christian.

*By "Bible" we mean the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments recognized by the councils of the early Church as authentic, inspired by God, and therefore included in the Canon. We Believe these Scriptures are infallible in the original texts and their true meaning has not been lost in translation. We believe that the most accurate English translation is the authorized King James Version. ( 2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:152; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17-19; 24-35; John 12:48; 1 Peter 1:20-21).

5. Revelation

We believe that God reveals Himself in His Word - the written word, the spoken word, and Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. God is also revealed in His creation, and by supernatural manifestations, and by the ministry of the Holy Spirit and angles.( John 1:1,14; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:1-3; 1 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 1:19-20; Genesis 12:1; 15:1; 18:1-33; 22:11-18; 41:1-32; Exodus 3:1-4: 19:3, 19-20; Isaiah 1:1-2; Jeremiah 1:1-2; Ezekiel 1:1-3; Matthew 16:13-17).

6. Creation

We believe in the Biblical account of creation and we totally reject the theory of evolution.  We believe that God is the Creator and Sovereign Ruler over all, Who, in the beginning, created the heaven earth and all things therein. We believe the visible, material realm came forth from the invisible, spiritual realm by the word of God. ( Genesis 1:1-31; Nehemiah 9:6; Hebrews 11:3)

*We accept the possibility that the six days of creation may not be literal twenty-four hour days and that the earth may be much older than this theory permits (2 Peter 3:8). We also accepts the possibility set forth by the "gap theory" which asserts that a period of time separates Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.

7. The Fall

We Believe that man fell into sin through disobedience and, as a consequence, the entire human race was brought under the curse of sin; man was separated from God, fellowship was broken, and death passed upon all men.

Since the fall we, and all men, have been born with sinful nature and in our natural state are dead in trespasses and sins. (  Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-24; Romans 3:10-23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1, 12)

8. The Cross Of Christ

The Cross is central in Christianity. Redemption from sin and reconciliation to God are possible only through the blood of Christ shed for us on the cross. It is loved and embraced as the standard of the true Christian in every nation in every age

We believe that at the cross, Satan and the kingdom of darkness were destroyed, the penalty for sin was paid, and deliverance and salvation were provided for all who repent and believe. it is the doorway to salvation. All who enter the highway to heaven must pas through the cross.

We believe that through identification with Jesus in His death, and by application of the cross of faith, we daily die to sin and the lusts of the flesh and choose to live in surrender and obedience to God.                                                        "But God forbid that I should that I should glory, save in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world" ( Galatians 6:14).

(John 3:14; 19:16-37; 1 Corinthians 1:17-18, 23-24; Ephesians 2:13-16; Colossians 1:20; 2:13-15; Hebrews 2:14-15)

9. Salvation

We Believe that salvation is by grace through faith, apart from works, by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit; that the hope of salvation rests upon the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus; and that without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. there is no salvation apart from Christ and no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born again. ( Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-10; Hebrews 9:22; John 3:3)

*We believe that salvation occurs when a man, being convicted of sin and his need of a Savior repents from dead works and excesses faith toward God. We do not believe that a man can save himself through performing good works, but we believe that good works are the fruit of true salvation. (Hebrews 6:1; James 2 14-26)

*We do not believe in the doctrine which asserts that a person is eternally secure simply because he, at some point in life, repented and prayed to receive Jesus as his savior. We believe that the truly born-again Christians will demonstrate the fruits of repentance by a change life and by desire to live in obedience to the word of God. (Philippians 2:12; James 5:19-20; Revelation 3:5; 1 john 2:3-5; Matthew 7:13-23)

10. The Resurrection and Ascension of Christ

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and in His ascension in glory to the throne of God. (Matthew 28:1-7; Luke 24:1-9; Acts 1:9-11; Ephesians 4:8-10)

11. Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that all believers should desire and diligently seeks the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. ( Acts 1:4-5,8,2:1-4, 14-18, 38-39; 10:44-48: 11:15-17; 19:6; Ephesians 5:18)

We believe that all the gifts of the Spirit are to operate in the church today as they did in the New Testament Church[ word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, tongues and interpretation of tongues] (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

12. Healing

We believe in the ministry of healing and that miracles and healing occur today, as in Bible times, through the exercise of faith and manifestation of he power of God. We believe that all healing is from God - whether it is the result of natural functions of the body, doctors and medicine, or faith. We believe that some sickness and disease are result of demonic oppression or possession and must be dealt with spiritually. ( Matthew 8:16-17; 9:35; Mark 16:18; Hebrews 13:8; James 5:14-16; Acts 10:38; Matthew 12:22; Luke 8:2; Acts 5:16).

13. Deliverance

We believe in the ministry of the deliverance and that believers have the authority to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. We believe that there are different levels of demonic influences and control: Affliction, torment, oppression and possession - and that demons can affect people spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally.

We believe that a born-again Christian can be pressed but not passed by demons. ( Matthew 8:16-17; 10:1-8; Mark 1:23-27, 34; 16:17; Acts 5:16; 16:17-18; 19:11-20).

14. The Christian Life

We believe that the Christian life is a victorious life of faith to be lived in love before God and man. We believe that the true love for God produces obedience and holiness; that the Christian must deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.

We believe that the highest purpose of the Christian Life is to love and glorify God In our worship and service, and to extend His kingdom through our obedience to the Great Commission. ( Romans 8:37; 1 John 5:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 2:20; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Titus 2:11-12; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 2:11; Matthew 22:37-39, 28:18-20).

15. Authority Of the Believer

We believe that Christians Have been given authority in the name of jesus to establish the kingdom of God and destroy the kingdom of darkness. We believe that demons and the powers of darkness are subject to believers through the power and authority of the name of Jesus. ( Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16;15-20; Matthew 10:1-8; Ephesians 1:19-23; Philippians 2:8-11; Revelation 12:11).

16. Priesthood of Believers

We believe in priesthood of all believer; that each born-again Christian is a priest with direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. As priests our first responsibility is to worship God, Minister to Him and then to people. We believe that divine, enabling gifts for service are bestowed by the Holy Spirit on all who are saved: that our service is to be rendered in the church and in the world, to the saved and the lost;  that we are called ambassadors for christ and sent into the world with responsibility to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe that rewards are promised in this life, and in heaven, based on the faithfulness of each individual believer in his priestly service to the Lord.  (1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 12:1-11; 1 Corinthians 3:9-15; Matthew 25:14-30).

17. Second Coming and Rapture

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth in power and glory and in the Rapture of the church at His coming ( Matthew 24:27-31; John 14:3; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-17).

We do not believe that disagreement over the time of the Rapture -- "pre, mid or post tribulation" should be a point of division. The essential thing is to believe in the Second Coming and to be ready to meet Jesus whenever He comes.

18. Resurrection and Eternal Judgment

We believe in the resurrection of the body and final judgment before God. We believe that the saved will be raised to spend eternity with  the Lord in heaven, and that the lost will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord in hell ( Matthew 25:31-35, 41,46; Acts 17:31; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelations 20:11-15; 21:1-27; 22:1-7).

19. The Lordship of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord of heaven and earth and that the power of darkness is under His feet. We believe in the ultimate triumph of Christ and the Church over all evil. We believe that the Kingdom of God is eternal and victorious , and that the kingdom of Satan is temporary and defeated ( 1 Corinthians 15:24-25; Ephesians 1:19-23; Isaiah 14:12-15; Philippians 2:11; Colossians 2:14-15; Hebrews 2:14; Revelation 12:7-11; 20:10; Isaiah 9:6-6-7; Daniel 2:44; 7:13-14,27; 2 Peter 3:10-13; Revelations 5:9-13).
